The comics event at my local public library was looking pretty superhero focused, so I did a drawing workshop and a presentation on other kinds of comics— a first for me!

For the presentation, I compiled a big list of all my favorite graphic novels for kids, teens, and adults.

I’ve recently been working as a mentor for a small group of students through the Sequential Artists Workshop. I wrote to them about how important it has been for me to turn my comics into physical objects, and now my post is up on the SAW blog!

NEW ACADEMIC TRANSLATION

My translation of Heloisa Espada’s essay, “The Fotoforma Exhibit at MASP, 1951: Geraldo de Barros and the Museum-School” was recently published in New Geographies of Abstract Art in Postwar Latin America (eds. Mariola Alvarez & Ana M. Franco, Routledge 2018).
